Advanced Security
The BP-71M36 provides multiple layers of system and data protection. During start-up, it checks the BIOS firmware for anomalies and, if any are detected, automatically aborts start-up and triggers a BIOS recovery. Integration with Microsoft Entra ID supports seamless user authentication across your organisation.
Additional security features include firmware whitelisting, self-recovery, and a Trusted Platform Module, ensuring sensitive data and documents remain fully protected. Optional Bitdefender anti-malware software adds an extra layer of network and device security.
Seamless Connectivity
Collaboration is enhanced with the built-in Microsoft® Teams connector, allowing secure printing to or scanning from Teams channels directly from the control panel. Single sign-on enables users to connect mobile devices via WiFi, AirPrint, Bluetooth, NFC, or QR code, giving full access to enterprise workflows and print capabilities from anywhere.
Intuitive Operation
A motion sensor wakes the MFP from sleep mode when a user approaches. Communication lamps provide instant status updates, and the 10.1” tiltable colour LCD touchscreen with smartphone-style touch controls makes accessing all functions simple and intuitive.
High Productivity
The BP-71M36 delivers black & white print and copy speeds of up to 36 ppm. Scanning is equally efficient, with a 300-sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder capable of two-sided scanning at speeds of up to 300 ipm. A double-feed detection feature stops the job if multiple sheets are fed, reducing errors and protecting documents.
The standard Print Release function allows users to securely release jobs from the most convenient MFP on the network. A wide variety of finishing options—including folding, punching, saddle stitching, and manual or stapleless stapling—provides versatility for professional outputs.
Eco-Friendly Design
Up to 50% of the BP-71M36’s base unit is made from recycled plastics, and cardboard packaging reduces plastic waste. Key components are designed for extended life to minimise service visits, while harmful materials have been eliminated from production. Advanced eco-technologies deliver a low TEC value and minimal standby power consumption, with a ‘balance’ power-saving mode that keeps the MFP ready to operate in under 3.5 seconds.
The Sharp Application Portal ensures the MFP stays up-to-date with automatic firmware and application updates.
